Tesio Stakes 2012 – Nominations Announced

Nominations have been released for the Group 3 Tesio Stakes, which is due to run at Moonee Valley Racecourse this Saturday October 27, 2012.

A total of 15 horses have nominated for the 2012 Crystal Mile, including Spirit Song.

Spirit Song has won seven of her 23 race starts and has earned more than $525,000 in prize money during her horse racing career.

The Invincible Spirit mare placed a close second to Solzhenitsyn in her most recent spring start in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap on October 13, 2012.

The five-year-old is also nominated for the Group 2 Crystal Mile this Saturday at Moonee Valley racecourse.

Also included in the 2012 Tesio Stakes nominations is Skyerush.

Skyerush has won eight of her 37 race starts and has earned more than $640,000 in prize money.

The Super Jet mare finished second in the Group 3 Golden Pendant first-up this spring behind More Joyous, before placing third in the Listed Angst Stakes last run.

Skyerush is trained at Warwick Farm by Guy Walter and will be looking to claim the second Group race title of her career.

The 2012 Tesio Stakes is also known as the 2012 Trojan Hand Tools Stakes, and is worth $150,000 in prize money.
